On the first link, the NEX-5N does really well with exactly the same lens. The NEX-7 does an AWFUL job with the same lens. What is it you do not understand?
On the 2nd link, both lenses perform really badly wide open till around f4 on that NEX-7 in the borders. That is what "we" are saying.
The NEX-7 appears to give quite inferior results compared to for instance a 5N with:
- wide angle lenses
- big apertures.
