Your perception must be different than mine; I got from Klaus' remarks/findings that even with the 85mm f1.4 the corners performed less that expected (read: stellar), this from his earlier experience with the A700 and A900 tests. I did not read into that that the corners with the 85mm f1.4 were "catastrophic", just less than one would expect.
So, that while with wide angles/E-mount lenses the effect may be described "catastrophic" if one desires, but the 85mm results just were a bit less than they should be.
Waardij indeed feels the same with his 85mm f1.4, he did do a test with it and different NEX bodies (NEX-7 and NEX-5N I believe).
It is fine that you tested not wide open because of the light, but then the test is not all that worth while, as other sources do show that wide open performance goes down fast in the NEX-7 corners. So it might be interesting to see results from you indoors with a more flat surface, maybe text, to see if with your non-E-mount wide angles there is a big effect or not at all.
So, the 24mm at f2, the 35mm at f1.4 to f2.8, the 24-70mm at 24mm f2.8. Next to f4, for instance, to judge the difference.
