We've certainly seen more exciting stuff already.

Maybe the pricing is attractive...

The Panasonic 20/1.7 is probably more attractive than the 19/2.8 ... and a 30/2.8 .... it's not even a macro lens.

No clue; but those sigma lenses seem to have a lot of glass; so maybe optically they are very good ?

I was thinking the same about the Pana 20mm, except for one thing - it is rather dated in AF speed by current standards so for some that might be enough of a difference.

I was also wondering if either of these were macro as that would make a little more sense with their size and slowness.

Not macro, not pancakes, slower than any of the existing mFT primes. The only thing we don't know is the retail price. Maybe that's the key? Maybe these lenses will go for $50 or something?

Sigma can be cheap, but I doubt they'll go that cheap. They still want to make money after all!

You guys beat me to it. Even if these come out in E mount as well I'm definitely not interested. I have these FLs covered and the aperture of these is not that larger to warrant purchase. 30mm macro is stupid as well since you'd have to jam the front element into the subject. That is, if it's a macro at all.

Hack job Sigma!

In practise, AF with the Pana 20mm is not half as bad as some say it is.

I didn't say it was bad, I'm just saying what's available now can be a lot faster.
