Disappointing? Not if you're a Ricoh GXR owner <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Smile' />

I've been following that thread since the day before it was posted (he has an initial review on the nex-7 where folks requested he tested for colour issue). I few things to note; folks with a critical eye are unsure if there is corner smearing (this is important because if not then the colour fringing can be corrected). The issue seems to go away somewhere between 24mm and 28mm and is not relevant to retro focus designs. It is unclear if lenses with floating elements are impacted.

So yes I agree it is very disappointing but there is still hope it is note quite as bad as indicated by his samples (the issue does not exist with the zeiss 24f2).

Last but least the video (for folks looking at video aspect) is outstanding with no clicking.

My personal take - wait and watch - if the issue is as bad as his samples suggest go with the 5n + evf; else the nex-7.

Btw dpreview should have a full review soon.
