Yes setting the aperture ring to A (pentax) use Av using rear dial to control F stop.
setting aperture ring to desired F stop (nikon) camera sets shutter speed (some models) M on dial
I'm not knowledgeable I just read the leaflet LOL Good news for pentax and Nikon owners though!!
