No, Pentax does NOT need to make a mirrorless system for the Pentax pancakes. the Pentax pancakes only make sensoe on a compaact DSLR body. So what Pentax then needs is a compact DSLR body. APS-C: K5. FF.... a K5 body.

Pentax can design new pancakes for mirrorless system. Three would make most people happy for a start.
