Not really so. A 6mp camera will always perform worse than a 16mp D7000 or an 18mp 60D, no matter what lens. Only when for whatever reason you want to look at pixels, you might notice on pixel level the 16 or 18mp sensor to show more of the lens' weaknesses than the 6mp images. But that is only because you are looking at the 16 or 18mp image a LOT more magnified.
If you look at the images at the same size, the 16/18mp images will look better, no matter what lens you used....
Markus measures how much lenses resolve with sensors. That is pixel peeping, not judging image results.
