1/1.7" = 7.6x5.7 = 43,32 sqmm
The LX5 sensor is actually a bit larger than this (1/1.63").
1/1.63" = 7.89x5.81 = 45.8 sqmm
The size differences between the Fuji X10 sensor and other enthusiast compacts sensors are probably as significant as the size difference between an APS-C sensor made by Canon compared to those made by Sony.
