Wow, the CA is quite low for such a wide FF lens. Pretty impressive for 12mm!
All the three old ultra wides from Sigma are EX lenses, but, as you say, not the new 12-24mm, and also not the 8-16mm. I wonder why.

It seems as if Sigma is restricting this to constant aperture lenses now.
Technically the 12-24 would qualify - it is even splash proof.
I see. I have the 8-16mm, and it feels as well made as the first 10-20mm they made, which I used to own. They should make an 8-16mm with f/2.8 constant aperture. I would fear the price though.

yes it looks nice - but it's a pity they don't seem to be making new lenses for the A mount now - down here it's really difficult not to be following the canon brand, canon marketing is everywhere -
