Klaus is not mixing anything up here. It is obvious that one has more creative possibilities with a 24mm f1,4 lens than with a 24mm f4 lens. Same as that one has more creative possibilities with yellow, magenta AND cyan paint, than one has with only yellow and magenta paint.
Yes, one still can be creative with only magenta. Just less creative possibilities.
