Our first 1 star review is on the horizon ...
#21
Oh, so it is a Nikon. Then it is the 18-35mm f3.5-4.5 ED which has no resolution on the edges whatsoever, crazy high CA and very high distortion?

AF. With the exception of the tilt-shift lenses, I won't be reviewing Nikon MF lenses for another while.

Making partial quotes from reviews is always a contraversial issue, but come on...:

"This 18-35mm pretty much does the same thing as the 17-35mm f/2.8 AF-S, in plastic with more distortion, but with slightly better sharpness, for a lot less money. "

A meticulous (!!) review for a wide angle on FX...

So I guess my bet is for 1/2 star <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Big Grin' />

I can only guess that he had a poor copy of the 17-35/2.8
