I wonder if there could be some sort of information or referrals available from Leica concerning this? Or at least a visit to a Leica dealer for a test shoot or even renting a body would be in order before making such a substantial purchase.
Dale Photo and Digital in South Florida rents S2 bodies and Leica lenses. If you purchase a S2 within 30 days of the rental the rental charge is deducted from the camera price.

Then you have to find very good looking couples with good skin to view at those magnifications <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='

in the Miami Florida area there should be no problem finding some good looking subjects to zoom in on. <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/blink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='

Seriously, if I were in a position to even think about purchasing a camera of this level, I would have to try to arrange to be a second or even a third shooter at a wedding and actually use it. I would not dare use it for the first time at a wedding that I was the primary/only shooter. Or even better, if the bridal party were having a rehearsal, I would attend it and give it a test run.

Haring is a serious and very good wedding photographer, not the general hobby point and shooter that usually frequent this forum... so his question is a serious one.

Yeah, I can tell that by checking his website... And you are his attorney without any sense of humour?
I can not even start to think of the prices a pro would have to charge to justify using a 30.000€ system for wedding photos, although surely there would be people willing to pay the price in Miami, Monaco, LA, Hong Kong, Shanghai and lots of other places for all I know. I have yet to see a complete test of the camera and don't know if it really is on the market. I suggest Haring buys a system and lets us know what it does for him in his market! Kindly VL
I have checked the S2 out! The point mentioned above is valid. The lens selection in extremely limited...but if feels much like a DSLR compared to the Hassys and the mamiyas... I will keep everybody updated if I have a chance to test one in real wedding conditions...
