Nice lens, would look much better on the silver Nex, though. <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Wink' />

"As of the time of this review Sony does not over a native standard lens for Sony NEX cameras so it makes sense to look a bit beyond the obvious horizon."

Over should be offer, typo.

Well, it's also available in black (actually most ZM lenses are available in both colours). So you can pick the version matching your NEX <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Sad' />

Markus prefers the ZM 35mm f/2.8 (yet to be tested) but the f/2 has quite some fans out there.

We'll also test the V35/1.2 in November if you've a need for speed ...

Yes, but that's on full frame, not APS-C. The 35/2.8 does have smoother bokeh and it's a bit smaller (roughly the size of the Summarit 50/2.5).

Compared to these two the V35/1.2 is a monster lens ...

Well ... define "better" <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Wink' />

The 35/2.8 is cheaper, smaller, has nicer bokeh. That's what counts for me. They are both sharp on the M9 (actually almost any lens I have tried so far is sharp enough for my needs on the M9).

Size. Cannot really comment on its image quality, yet. Got it just recently and since then haven't had any opportunities to seriously use it.
