same photo: film vs digital
#1
kodak gold 200 expired, shot at +1 fstop, vs 5D

didn't correct the green cast or anything in the film, set white balance to daylight in digital for fair comparison, will redo the same with non expired film

Interesting comparison.

The DR on the film version is quite noticeably lower than the 5D version.

I much prefer the 5D version. Much smoother colors too.

yes, don't forget also the green color cast,  but that's cheap expired film, kept inside a camera in a closet for years, coming soon, digital versus other film mainly ilford HP5, and XP2, agfa xp reputed for extreme latitude  (C41) and versus different color negatives, slide film is extremely rare here and nobody is ready to process it.

BTW I am officially the last person who bought Fuji film from Fuji Lebanon, as I bought every single remaining roll they had, and they decided to stop importing film.
