I'm afraid the only thing that can push Nikon into delivering an "affordable" FF SLR is.. Canon delivering such SLR in first place, assuming Nikon can secure or produce themselves a suitable sensor at the right (lower) price. Other than that, why would they want to cut the branch on which they are sitting that is, cannibalizing sales of D3x/D3s or future pro (high margin) models ?
As for the D7000 I am really looking forward to get one <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> ..at least to test drive it for a day or two, and if it delivers in terms of IQ I will not mind it beeing evolutionary rather than revolutionary. We have seen the D300 surpass the D2xs in IQ and AF performance, so it might as well happen that the D7000 comes to be a decent improvement over the D300s now.. Time will tell, soon.. <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
