Now that is pretty cool, a 50mm f1.8 full frame equivalent for micro 4/3rds.

And it looks almost as pretty as the 75mm f1.8!

Hum. Very interesting; might be a good fit with the gh1 (or i presume gh2).

First impression: what's with this picture of an old Pentax Takumar? <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Wink' /> Ok, aperture ring on the wrong side. Oh wait, it is a Nokton, even a brand new one <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Big Grin' />.

Very interesting lens indeed.

A pity it is micro 4/3 <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Tongue' />.

Kind regards, Wim
Gear: Canon EOS R with 3 primes and 2 zooms, 4 EF-R adapters, Canon EOS 5 (analog), 9 Canon EF primes, a lone Canon EF zoom, 2 extenders, 2 converters, tubes; Olympus OM-D 1 Mk II & Pen F with 12 primes, 6 zooms, and 3 Metabones EF-MFT adapters ....

Haha, indeed a pity. 2 things I dislike about 4/3rds: The 4x3 format. Bleach. The sensor performance.

But nice though, that lens.

Yes, but the GH1 (and I guess the upcoming GH2, too) offers 3:2, too. And it's not just a simple crop (as in the G1).

Ah yes, you are right in that. So, all Panasonic has to do is make a Panasonic GFH1, and I would like to have such a compact camera (with Voigtlander 25mm f0.95, Olympus 9-18mm compact UWA-zoom, Pana 14-55 IOS and Leica 45mm f2.8 macro).

Just to have a compact system next to my DSLR.

Of course even with u 4:3 a 0.95 lens is a bit heavy (relative to the camera) <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Wink' />

With Pan Gf1 this might be intertesting to use, 50mm f1.8 equivalent with full frame regarding the dof, but is it worth of the price, maybe? Quite expensive.

For FF canon I get Zeiss ze macro f2 with 1000€, and Nokton 58mm f1.4 and Zeiss ze 50mm f1.4 are both cheaper.

Now I really regret not having an E-P1 and no EVF a la E-P2 & E-PL1.

Good news though.
