need help buying a lens for d5300

Hi guys I want to buy a lens for my Nikon D5300 with avg. price of  500-600 Canadian dollar. There are many options which make me confused. Something like 55-200 mm or up to 300mm 
Any advice and suggestions will be greatly appreciated.Thank you

Impossible to answer without knowing what type of phorogaphs you like to take.  D5300 is a crop-sensor (DX) body.

thanks for replying,I just want to take picture of objects that are far away and daily usage,My current lens is : 18-55 mm Dx,VR which does not work for distances .I am an amateur photographer.Thank you

You mean you need a tele lens.
There are zillions of choices, other than price there's the weight you are ready to carry and how much you want.
if you want to do sports or birds or wildlife then you need big expensive and heavy lenses, a 70-300 or a 55-250 might be just enough.
There are excellent and very reliable reviews of those lenses here, check them

Ladies have weird proverbs but once a lady used a proverb I liked, i know few if any ladies read here, the proverb was " you'll have to kiss several frogs before finding the prince" you will be happy with your purchase first, then you will discover you need something else, those lenses aren't expensive and you won't lose a lot reselling them anyway that's learning cost.
Anyways doesn't matter which one you choose, just make sure it'stabilized (with VR) you will need this feature.
