Compact Samyang 85mm f/1.4 coming ...
Chief Editor -

Doing all things Canon, MFT, Sony and Fuji
Looks interesting. I sorely regretted not having a fast long(ish) lens with me when I was shooting the World Cup fans celebrating on the streets night after night. I have the 24/1.4 and most of the time just spray everything at point blank range with that lens, but a longer one would definitely be an asset. Venturing out yesterday without a 24 was definitely a mistake (I left that at home before going out to shoot Eid Al-Fitr, which I still treat as a dodgy event worth being wary of), and 70-200/2.8 wasn't cutting it even at f/2.8.

Those who know me also know that I have a longstanding yearning for a fast 85 that begun with drooling over the Sigma 85/1.4, continuing with an obsession directed at the Tamron 85/1.8 and later the Canon 85/1.4 IS. Each in this chain of obsessions has been, of course, unrequited, like falling in love with a succession of top models. Smile
