Looks better than the Nikon at least price wise - wonder how the two will compare performance wise. In general Nikon is a brand I would avoid in USA due to warranty horror stories and refusal to repair grey items (even if you are willing to pay cost of repair). Canon has always treated me well. What I say about Nikon is mostly what I read as I've never owned a nikon but i have owned consumer canon camera in the past and support was always willing to answer my questions promptly and in great detail (never used their repair service). I mention USA because different regions have different support experience with different brands.

The Nikon Z7 is priced aroud 3.400 and has 15 MP bigger sensor. The 24 MP Z6 will be around 2000 or even lower (now that they have to compete. Prices of the Nikon are already in sinkflight, at least compared to the official MRP. Still, if I had no lenses to begin with, I would try to find out which is the better system, attractive are both. Higher MP has Nikon but the smarter concept I tend to see on Canon's side.

Canon will come with a higher MP version no doubt, probably when a new sensor for the 5DS® II is ready.
The Nikon Z has IBIS now, the Canon R does not.

Oh yeah, and the 4K is cropped for the R (which means it would work great with my EF-S 10-18mm f4.5-5.6 IS STM )

Hmm, if I compare the specs of the two camera systems, i sometimes got the feeling they were using the same brainstorming and the same suppliers list. The weight is just different about 5 grams...

And now I see BC's complaint about "throttled Nikon and unthrottled Canon" in a different light. Even throttled the Nikon has higher fps but much lower buffer... funny games.
