Nikon Z5 release
#1
It seems that we are approaching the release date of Z5. I cannot find any spec.info, but few sources points to release in July.  What do you think?

No built-in EVF?

That would be a no-no for me.

Kind regards, Wim
Gear: Canon EOS R with 3 primes and 2 zooms, 4 EF-R adapters, Canon EOS 5 (analog), 9 Canon EF primes, a lone Canon EF zoom, 2 extenders, 2 converters, tubes; Olympus OM-D 1 Mk II & Pen F with 12 primes, 6 zooms, and 3 Metabones EF-MFT adapters ....

Strange but not without precedence (Sigma FP).

No EVF is NO NO for me too. As far as I understood they target Canon EOS RP segment.
BTW: EOS RP was also not camera for me, due to the limited video features, but R6 seems promising.

The PF and the Canon M6 mkII both have the excuse that they went for such a small form factor that putting in an EVF would have made them bigger. Not sure how they would make a Z5 so small that there is no room for any EVF, considering how big that mount is.

A tiny note it is called Z 5 with a space not Z5  Cool

Where would they be putting the prominent NIKON logo that adorns the EVF hump now. Smile

By the way, camerasize.com, just like opticallimits.com, is struggling financially, and both can use some financial donation help. Just saw their plea when I visited the website.

I saw that as well. I'm slightly wondering what problems they might have.
If you shop around, you can get a webserver with unlimited traffic for as little as $10.
And those photos are from press releases.
Other than spending 15-30min per month on the photo post-prep, there isn't much to do either.
I think it's obvious that they aren't running this full time.

Oh, he's running his site on AWS. Well, the traffic costs will eat him alive then.
