New Fuji gear
#1
So Fuji announced a few things today:
  • The new X-S10 body: https://www.dpreview.com/news/7605696231...bilization
  • A weather-resistant version of the 10-24 f4 lens; note that it's also slightly smaller (5mm shorter) and lighter (25g) than the previous version
  • Two new lenses appeared on the roadmap:
  • 18mm f1.4
  • 70-300 f4-5.6
Although the X-S10 still uses the same small outdated EVF as the one in the X-T20 and X-T30, I'll still likely buy it to replace my X-T20 for the IBIS, AF improvements and grip.

Wonder why they made their UWA zoom a 10-24mm since there's no 24-xx mm lens to mesh with it in their lineup? It looks a bit awkward as there's too much overlap with the 18-55 (the most logical standard zoom) and too much of a gap between 24mm and the next longer zoom lens, the 55-200. Of course if someone were to cover that gap with primes (say, a Touit 32 and whatnot), it'd be less of an oddity...

I, for one, don't really need a zoom lens besides a 16/18-xxmm. A 10mm f/4 would be great. There's at least the Zeiss Touit 12mm f/2.8.

Similar way, I for example look not for a zoom beyond 24 mm (in APS-C world), until short tele lens. So in my book, 10-24/4 would be a nice lens to consider if I were using Fujis. Announced redesign seems a nice upgrade.

A little bit expensive, really.
