This was announced a few years ago.
Ok, so they have it working in the lab now, for monochromatic images, and with infrared light.
I reckon there are major hurdles to overcome to get it to work for images in colour, as the patterns need to be adjusted for each different wavelength. It is going to be interesting to see if they can actually overcome this, and how.
Gear: Canon EOS R with 3 primes and 2 zooms, 4 EF-R adapters, Canon EOS 5 (analog), 9 Canon EF primes, a lone Canon EF zoom, 2 extenders, 2 converters, tubes; Olympus OM-D 1 Mk II & Pen F with 12 primes, 6 zooms, and 3 Metabones EF-MFT adapters ....
!80 degrees.... yet the video shows no such thing. Crisp imgaes... yet the video shows nothing even approaching "crisp". It is cool that they get any type of image at all, but this is very much still in its conception phase.
