EOS R7/R10 & RF-S lenses announced
#11
Mediocre EVF specs aside ....... the biggest issue with the R7 is rolling shutter..... it all but renders the camera useless for birds in flight ........ background trees leaning strongly ....... the R5 shows some but acceptable amounts of RS ...... RS in the R3 is all but absent ........

...... disappointing results from the R7!!

In my book, the price tag of the R7 is just too high.

The R7 costs as much as an S5. So unless you need it for some type of action photography, it seems to be a bad deal.

It does seem to be marketed at sports and action à la D500 ....... it wins on resolution and frame rate (mechanical shutter @ 15 Fps) ..... it just needs to go those extra few steps  .....

.............. is it that Canon cripple hammer ?? .......... Smile

....... Sony has the same bad habit ........ gives a new model some new impressive headline specs with one hand ....... and removes existing features with the other .... thus all meaningful paths lead to the A1 !!
