Forums > Back > Which Is The Best Camera For Cinematography?
#1
Hello Community Members,

I am new here. I am gonna start my new journey in mass, media, and production. I just wanted to know which is the best DSCL for cinematography. People in my contact suggested Canon 1DC, FUJIFILM GFX100 II Medium Format Mirrorless Camera, and Sony A99. I did a lot of research for the same now I am confused which one should I consider. Or If you have any suggestion do let me know. I found this community useful that's why I am asking this here.
Thanks
James Millere

Choosing the right camera for filming can be difficult, especially when there are options like the Canon 1DC and FUJIFILM GFX100 II on the table, not only for the specs but also for how each camera feels in your hand when filming, but also for comfort.

Canon 1DC is solid for 4K, GFX100 II offers stunning image quality but large files, and Sony A99 is outdated. For cinematography, consider newer options like the Sony FX3 or Canon R5C—both offer excellent video features and reliability.
