I have always considered Klaus reviews a very reliable resource

And they're trying to exonerate the lens by stating that Klaus might have got a bad sample, though AFAIR bad samples actually manifest with tilted focus plane (and thus sharpness), not a uniform edge/corner sharpness falloff at one focal length?

It's EPZ's results that I actually find a little less believable (not for this lens, but in general). Let's wait for Lenstip to take a stab at this lens. Smile

Canon RF 28-70mm f/2.8 IS STM, with clear advantages in center sharpness and anti-aliasing vibration, but also points out limitations such as sharpness in corners and vignetting.

I also find Klaus to have very detailed and objective reviews — always a reliable resource before deciding to buy a lens! Pokémon Gamma Emerald

It's interesting because i've followed Klaus for over 5 years now and he seems kinda biased when it comes to Canon ... or is my observation wrong? puzzle universe

I think we all have a certain bias towards certain brands - it's difficult to mask out all personal preferences.
Having said that I, for one, can observe that my personal preferences have shifted between brands multiple times over the years.
And it also depends on the specific task at hand.
So what does bias then actually mean if I'm in the luxurious situation of changing cameras like my underwear?

yeah, everyone has their preferences, but being able to switch brands freely and judge lenses by their performance is what really matters.
