Huh, not the review I was expecting to see. Thank you, that kinda put my lingering curiosity to rest (and I wouldn't be changing systems anymore either way, I guess).

I still quite like it. The IQ with DxO is fairly decent. And, as mentioned, being small means that you'll actually take it along instead of receiving dust in the closet.

But maybe, I'm just getting old ;-)

I guess it's okay, just not the UWA champion many were probably hoping for.

P.S. Am I the only one who finds the present layout where both reviews and industry news are all put together at the top of the page... a little odd? I think it draws away the visitors' attention from the reviews. Like it's right now (late on Apr. 24th): this review, the latest you have at the moment and just 2 days old, is pushed off to the bottom of the right side, and what do we see up front in the middle? "Thypoch Simera 28mm & 35mm f/1.4 now available with Type II Focus Tab Version"... which sounds like a fairly useless piece of news anyways. Will there be now reviews at all up top once some other gear news appears?

I may be getting old as well but I liked it more when the truly important thing - the reviews - were in the list on the left, and the industry news were in their separate column where people could read them or ignore them altogether. Smile

Thank you for sharing your thoughts on the Fujinon XF 8mm f/3.5 R WR. It's always valuable to hear honest feedback from experienced users. While it may not be the ultimate ultra-wide-angle lens, its compact size and decent image quality with DxO make it a practical choice for many photographers. Your insights help others make informed decisions.  Speed Stars Game
