Forums > Back > 7D2 or R7 for kids football
#1
What would be best for shooting my 5 year old David-a playing football ?? they usually play in smaller courts and in Qatar it's often indoors because of the heat, although lighting is usually excellent.
I already have 7D2, and EOSRP, do you think 7D2 is good enough or I am better getting  R7 ?

Nothing beats good eye detection in such scenes ...

The 7D2 can handle it, but the R7 will give you faster autofocus and better tracking—ideal for kids' football indoors. Italian Brainrot Clicker

The 7D2 is still great for action, especially with its fast burst and solid AF. If the lighting is good indoors, it should handle your son’s football games pretty well. chimney

That said, the R7 is a nice upgrade—better autofocus, image quality, and IBIS. If you’re missing shots or want a lighter setup with more modern features, the R7 is worth it. Otherwise, the 7D2 can still get the job done.
