After months of working with DXO I discovered that what was slowing it is noise reduction, for low ISO pictures turn noise reduction off and you have a fast RAW converter just like others, OTOH turning on prime noise reduction makes it extremely slow and by a vast margin maybe 10 times slower.
I liked its flexibility to apply presets on several picture group, however using this is not evident.
For this software there's a time to learn however once you learnt how to deal with it, it's just great
