An image stabilizer and built by panasonic.  Sounds like a centering nightmare.

Short physical length for the focal length - presuming it will extend a lot in use? And f/6.3 on long end...

The 42.5/1.2 OIS is very very bad re: consistency.

But you will notice a slight misallignment easier the shorter the focal length is, right?

The absolute units of the misalignment don't matter.  I.e. if it's 0.1mm or 0.05mm, does not matter.  (That can't easily be measured anyway). 

 

It is true that retrofocus lenses tend to have more sensitive tolerances than e.g. a double gauss or a sonnar, but if it can be built within the tolerances it doesn't matter. 

 

The first three lenses tested for micro four thirds were the panasonic 42.5/1.2, voigtlander 42.5/0.95, and voigtlander 17.5/0.95.  The voigtlander lenses are excellent with respect to consistency, and the panasonic lens is among if not the worst I have ever seen.

I'd also say that Panas are somewhat inconsistent albeit not quite as bad as Sony's APS-C E-mount lenses or Sony A-mount lenses, let alone Samsung and Tokina. 

 

Oly used to be great but now they are just average.

 

I think it's unfair to use the Voigtlanders here - other than being non-IS primes they are also MF so their focusing unit can be very heavy (and tight).
