I used to have a Pentax K5 but now I switched to FF (D800) and MFT (G3).
In terms of size/IQ for traveling/hiking, MFT is very hard to beat. In fact I use my D800 less and less due to the bulk and the not so great image quality loss for my use.
Plus, I really love CDAF as it's so reliable and accurate (always spot on) compared to PDAF.
I recommend an Olympus OM-D with the following 3 lenses:
