Pentax is already part of Ricoh. I don't see much chance existing FF users would change to Pentax, as all the lens suppliers first serve Canon and Nikon, next Sony. Zeiss already threw their mount out (not that this makes a big difference). They don't need to be different alone, they need as well to be much better.
I can list some things I miss on my Nikons but that doesn't mean, I'd skip the whole system even if they did things like removable wifi screen (or at least inbuilt wireless connection to connect to phones or tablets), bottom and side plate connectable with Arca-Swiss Adaptors, Sigma Foveon with improved high ISO, very good ergonomics (that would mean, Europeans or Americans had to test their cams instead Asian people with small hands). I don't see that readiness for innovations - and tons of colors simply won't do.
And in a small country like Switzerland, Pentax gave up their customer service and put it to the hands of the former Yashica service - I will not repeat some of the experiences I had when I started DSLR with Pentax.
