The price in Europe seems to be EUR 6000, at least that's what Meister Camera (a reputable Leice dealer) lists the lens at.
That's more than twice the price of the Summilux 50/1.4, which interestingly is also an APO lens (even if for whatever reason it doesn't carry those three letters in its name).
Sorry, I don't get it.
I just got myself a new 50/2.0 with M-mount yesterday, at roughly 1/100th of the price of the new Summicron: a Jupiter 8. Sure, that's not an APO. And in direct comparison, it will likely offer worse bokeh and of course a little less resolution. But hey...
