Rumour is that fuji will release a 50mp medium format camera in 2017. fuji used to have some wonderful fixed lens medium format (film) cameras (tho my favorite was the mamiya 7ii). Hopefully the fuji version will be more reasonably priced Smile

Not bad in comparison to other systems with smaller sensors:

an adapter was mentioned in the presentation to use existing lenses. Only £5995!

and 1/2000 sync speed, starting to make A7Rii look less attractive

Is there a valid reason for 1/2000th sync speed, when there are flashes that offer high speed flash modes for exposure times shorter than the max. sync speed?

It's official with specs.

Why the 0.8 crop ?

Flash power is much reduced. It essentially has to do a series of flashes as the shutter slit moves down to illuminate the whole sensor.

So when you go from 1/250 -> 1/1000 you are essentially getting a flash 4 times the power where as with HSS the flash power is reduced as you increase shutter speed.

Loads on strobist.com, but a taste here: http://strobist.blogspot.co.uk/2011/12/q...flash.html

If I see the sensor gasping to collect for dust-particles behind wide open lens-mount... a fixed lens solution would be more dustproof than the Hasselblad. I mean, "dust- and weather-sealed" and then a diameter of 58-60 mm free access? Bright side: It's less fiddly to clean than an APS-C or µ4/3  Big Grin

I was just looking the size of it: 43,8 × 32,9 mm. I'm smiling about what is called "medium format" these days. everything what's bigger than 24 × 36 mm, it appears.

Phase One IQ260: 53.9 x 40.4 mm. Quite a bit more "MF" to me. But I would wait anyway until Fuji comes up with. And then there's the "poor man's 45 MP" of Sigma SD H Quattro, if Sigma can spare some time to produce and deliver those things one day.

Only full HD video seems lacking behind.

25600 ISO is available on almost all new DSLRs now let's see how clean it is.

Presumably that compared to a 'full frame' sensor. So a 44mm lens renders the equivalent view of a 35mm lens.

Do the math: FF has a diagonal of 43 mm roughly, this "MF" 55 also roughly. 43 Ã· 55 = 0.782
