 1st image: Sony FE 12-24mm f4 G. 3rd image: Zeiss Batis 18mm f2.8. 6th image: Sony FE 12-24mm f4 G. 7th image: Sony FE 100mm F2.8 STF GM OSS. 9th image: FE 12-24mm F4 G. 10th image: Sony FE 12-24mm F4 G. 11th image: Sony FE 12-24mm F4 G.

Why/how does this happen?

happens often with me. When using adapter.
My A6000 thinks  Canon 50f1.4 is Sony DT 50f1.8 even at f1.4
Canon 750D thinks yongnuo 50mmf1.8 is canon 75-300
How does it often happen to you that one lens is 4 lenses? The other images have NO lens EXIF.

It's also happening with me each time it's a different lens

Now you are confusing. You said the 50mm f1,4 gets seen as a 50mm f1.8 from Sony, not that very time the sony says it is a different lens. So, what is it?
And that Yongnuo on your Canon has nothing to do with this thread at all. The Yongnuo just tells the camera a certain lens ID which happens to be that of the 70-300mm.
I adapted many lenses on Sony including Canon 17-55f2,8 and canon 15-85 that it took for a tamron ultrazoom 18-200 I think then 28-300then a minolta  lens

Oh well, Laowa and the EXIF..., sorry, the missing EXIF.

This lens is currently the fastest in its class offering a superb optical quality for Full Frame Sony E mount camera. It features a close-to-zero distortion with a 110° angle of view. The ultra-fast aperture f/2 enables photographers to capture impressive astro shots very easily. The 72mm filter thread allows a quick installation of filters for landscape shooting. This lens is going to be an everyday lens for most of us given its compact size (62mm long) and weight (~500g only).

Yeah, Robert423 and all the others with fancy 3 digit alias ending, tell your employers that this is a very good reason to NOT buy such a crappy lens. Not only no EXIF, not only mediocre corner performance, not only overpriced, but also financing some stupid bots to copy paste Laowa's marketing yada-yada - disgusting. Why don't you poor idiots not just paste a link like that one: https://www.venuslens.net/product/laowa-15mm-f2/

here we already read:

Do not miss the 3rd-party review of our lenses in the Testimonials section below.

e-Photozine, Dustin Abbott, Lok and now OL - it's just not enough, apparently. Go on, Laowa, finance more of the dumb bots - some buyers will have to finance them.

He actually just spams for some "mobro"-thing.

mobdro.

Why on Earth would one take the effort, google a lens, copy paste marketing blurb and put it into a forum, while it is overly obvious? In the same time Macedonian hackers make million $ with fake news...
