Well, it's nice that Ricoh is still supporting the system and its fans, but I wonder just how long they can keep up.

The 35 f2 is nothing new: it's the same dinosaur-old design behind the FA35 f2 with its 6 aperture blades and screw drive AF! It's just presented in a new somewhat "modern" package.
The least they could have done is to add some aperture blades and an ultrasonic motor. So lame...

But it has the latest coatings!

Right; it's one new lens, and an old lens updated with the latest coatings and cosmetic changes.
The DA* 11-18mm looks very interesting, of course we knew about it for a while - a high-end APS-C ultra wide zoom with astrophoto touches. I'm more convinced that Pentax has high-end plans for APS-C.
The HD FA 35mm... maybe, due to the demand for the 35, they had to make new batches. So why not making them HD? There's also the 31mm, and we're expecting a D FA* 35mm f/1.4-ish lens (specs are my guess), in "2019 or later".

Anyway, with these lenses being announced in January, I bet we'll see at least another new one Wink There are two more "2019" lenses on the roadmap, the D FA 70-200 f/4 and the D FA* 85 f/1.4

Pentax did the same with the smc DA Limiteds, so updating the venerable smc to HD is nothing new. The smc itself is not bad at all, however HD is simply better.
