"The LUMIX S F1.8 Series 50mm lens is designed for superior mobility and beautiful bokeh"
LOL at that "superior mobility" nonsense.

Sounds like a bad translation for me.
Should it have been "portability"?

Even though it's obvious, maybe they mean "superior portability" over the LUMIX S PRO 50mm F1.4?
Who knows.
Personally I think that for a 50mm f1.8, it's not as compact as they make it sound.

Yeah, it is not exactly small for a 50mm f1.8, unless you take the Nikkor Z 50mm f1.8 S as benchmark.

I don't think you can honestly compare these two.
Even if Panasonic had cared at all what Canon or any other manufacturer has in their lineup. :-)

It's worth noting that the Panasonic S 50mm f/1.8 doesn't have a primitive design such as the Canon RF 50mm f/1.8 STM or Sony FE 50mm f/1.8.
And at least the manufacturer MTFs are far superior compared to these.
