dunno if it is the haze or the lens can't handle such scenes

BTW you need sensor cleaning, there's a nasty dust spot at the center

It is atmospheric haze. Look at the nearer parts, those look clear (yet the same lens also captured that).

yes, it was haze combined with less than ideal lighting.

And yes, I need to clean the sensor ...

Try doing macro shots of items on a plate of perspex .... Big Grin
