Klaus it feels like an imposition to ask you to do a real test of the 16-50/2.8 Sony lens on a Nex 5n. But could you mount the lens on a Nex 5n for a minute, take one tripod picture of something that's corner focused at F/2.8 at each of a couple of focal lengths, and just verbally/roughly compare those wide open corners against Nex 7 corners?
Just to appeal to your apparently well-developed sense of intellectual curiosity.
