dunno if it is the haze or the lens can't handle such scenes
BTW you need sensor cleaning, there's a nasty dust spot at the center
yes, it was haze combined with less than ideal lighting.
And yes, I need to clean the sensor ...

Try doing macro shots of items on a plate of perspex ....
