Panasonic S 50mm f/1.8 announced - Klaus - 06-02-2021 https://www.panasonic.com/uk/consumer/cameras-camcorders/lumix-camera-lenses/lumix-s-lenses/s-s50.html RE: Panasonic S 50mm f/1.8 announced - Brightcolours - 06-02-2021 "The LUMIX S F1.8 Series 50mm lens is designed for superior mobility and beautiful bokeh" LOL at that "superior mobility" nonsense. RE: Panasonic S 50mm f/1.8 announced - Rover - 06-02-2021 Sounds like a bad translation for me. Should it have been "portability"? RE: Panasonic S 50mm f/1.8 announced - thxbb12 - 06-03-2021 Even though it's obvious, maybe they mean "superior portability" over the LUMIX S PRO 50mm F1.4? Who knows. Personally I think that for a 50mm f1.8, it's not as compact as they make it sound. RE: Panasonic S 50mm f/1.8 announced - Brightcolours - 06-03-2021 Yeah, it is not exactly small for a 50mm f1.8, unless you take the Nikkor Z 50mm f1.8 S as benchmark. Because its weight is only 300 grams as compared to 955 grams of the next 50mm in the Panasonic lineup, the 50/1.4? IDK. RE: Panasonic S 50mm f/1.8 announced - Rover - 06-03-2021 I don't think you can honestly compare these two. Even if Panasonic had cared at all what Canon or any other manufacturer has in their lineup. :-) RE: Panasonic S 50mm f/1.8 announced - Klaus - 06-04-2021 It's worth noting that the Panasonic S 50mm f/1.8 doesn't have a primitive design such as the Canon RF 50mm f/1.8 STM or Sony FE 50mm f/1.8. And at least the manufacturer MTFs are far superior compared to these. |
